CoolSculpting is a painless and comfortable process. The body fat is cooled down to low temperatures and then broken down to be gradually eliminated by the body’s own lymphatic drainage system.
Freezing the targeted fat results in the crystallization of the lipids in the fat cells. The crystallization causes the fat cells to be destroyed, as opposed to liposuction and other fat-reduction techniques. The fat cells are then eliminated through a natural process, and there is no need for removal through medical suction.
CoolSculpting is suitable for all age groups and body types. The only requirement is that the fat be pinchable.
It is a fairly new procedure and received FDA certification in 2012. This lunchtime procedure takes less than an hour to be performed, and during it, clients are free to read, sleep, and use mobile devices.
There is no cutting, tissue manipulation, or administering of anesthesia required. As a result, the patient on whom the procedure is performed can resume their work immediately after.
CoolSculpting removes an average of 20 to 25% of the fat from the inner and outer thighs. Results can be observed within the time span of eight to twelve weeks. 86% of clients reportedly notice a visible decrease in their thigh fat around sixteen weeks after having received the treatment.
The method is safe for most individuals, except those with weakened immune systems and an inability to withstand the cold.
The fat cells, once frozen, cannot enlarge with weight gain or return to the body, as they are destroyed and completely gone. The skin barrier is not broken or compromised during CoolSculpting, and this eliminates any risk of infection or scarring. Furthermore, the results look very natural.
